Are you passionate about shaping the future of perioperative nursing? Western Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our dynamic Education team in Perioperative Services. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical facilitation, education, and mentorship to nursing staff, learning program participants and undergraduate students. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and support nursing staff in delivering evidence-based, culturally sensitive care
  • Develop and implement tailored teaching plans and clinical education sessions
  • Act as a mentor and clinical resource across multidisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate study days, orientation programs, workshops and continuing education initiatives
  • Contribute to policy development, performance management, and program recruitment

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse in Australia with a Bachelor of Nursing
  • Postgraduate Qualifications in Perioperative Nursing
  • At least five years of acute care experience
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and recent acute perioperative clinical skills
  • Strong understanding of current issues in nursing practice
  • Experience in nursing education and training delivery
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Recent experience in a formal Clinical Education role is highly desirable
  • Able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in ICT systems
  • Flexible, innovative approach to change and improvement
