Job Description

CHI Health Good Samaritan is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator & Perinatal Safety Specialist to support nursing professional development while leading key perinatal safety initiatives. In this dual role, you will provide education, mentorship, and clinical expertise while promoting a culture of safety and high-quality care for mothers, babies, and staff.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education, onboarding, and competency programs
  • Mentor nursing staff and support evidence-based practice and clinical excellence
  • Lead perinatal safety initiatives and ensure adherence to national and system standards
  • Provide ongoing perinatal training, updates, and safety communication
  • Conduct safety rounds, support quality improvement, and analyze safety events
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to drive consistent, high-quality patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelors Of Nursing BSN upon hire or Masters Of Nursing MSN upon hire OR completion of MSN program within 5 years of start date
  • Registered Nurse License in NE
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days
  • Minimum of 5 years as a clinician in Women’s Services
  • Minimum of 2 years of project experience in Women and Infants Perinatal Safety
  • Nursing education experience demonstrating progressive experience in the development and implementation of clinical education programs
