The Paediatric Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role is pivotal to supporting and developing our paediatric nursing workforce. This role requires you to work closely with the Paediatric leadership team and the Centre for Education and Learning team, as well as with other interdisciplinary teams who care for children across Western Health.
Job Responsibility:
Provide expert clinical support and mentorship to nursing staff, including undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners
Foster a positive and safe learning environment that promotes professional and skills development and best practice paediatric care
Role model evidence-based practice and support continuous improvement in clinical care
Develop cooperative relationships across disciplines, services and team who interact with paediatric patients across Western Health
Requirements:
Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute care settings
Possess postgraduate paediatric nursing qualifications or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster staff growth and development
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary and education teams
Experience in clinical education or preceptorship with a commitment to professional development
