As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) you will work under the general supervision of the Manager of Nursing Services, Director of Nursing, or designee and you will assume responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions of the unit on your designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, you are responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided on the unit. Unit: Eating Disorder Recovery Adult. Shift: NOC Shift.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee patient care provided in the inpatient departments
Interact with the multidisciplinary team to learn the status of patient’s care
Provide direct services according to professional discipline and training
Delegate assignments
Complete required medical record documentation and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner
monitor the same with staff
Interact regularly with medical staff to promote open communication, mutual problem-solving, positive relations, and to provide quality services
Meet with patients and/or staff when patient is experiencing compliance struggles. Consistently demonstrate support to patient and the treatment process
Act as an advocate for patients and their families, assisting in conflict resolution as needed
Coordinate with admissions
Milieu management
Attend/Conduct treatment team and staffings
Ensure environmental safety rounds are being completed
Support and implement the clinical program in conjunction with the Medical Director, the Director of Nursing, the Manager of Nursing Services, and Managers of other departments
Suggest program revisions and appropriate unit metrics based upon patient and staff feedback as well as Performance Improvement metrics
Use knowledge of patient rights to act as patient advocate and to respond to patient grievances
Participate in resource evaluation and equipment maintenance
Monitor staff members in the use of resources and equipment to maintain a cost-effective, efficient, safe, and productive work environment
Identify clinical competencies specific to the duties of the position and populations served
Maintain primary responsibility to communicate program performance information to the Manger/Director
Direct services to assure optimal standards of care and practice
Assist with the development of measuring goal achievement
Communicate goals to the staff
With the Manager of Nursing Services and Director of Nursing, establish goals for the programs that are consistent with the goals and mission of the Hospital, in collaboration with key personnel
Under the guidance of Manager of Nursing Services and Director of Nursing, demonstrate understanding of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (Joint Commission), and other regulatory agency compliance regulations
Involve self in the learning and the application of standards relevant to the Rogers Improvement System department
Participate in in services/seminars and other meetings to increase involvement and awareness of regulations
Participate in Performance Improvement teams that lead to improvement or risk reduction in own and other Hospital areas
Participate in Hospital committees, meetings, and team projects as requested
Demonstrate punctuality and preparedness
Demonstrate the ability to facilitate a meeting and to keep it on track
Contribute in a positive, solution-focused manner

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BSN Preferred
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Certification (PMH-BC) preferred
Current licensure in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse License
Minimum of two years of experience as an RN preferred with experience in behavioral health
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required within thirty (30) days of date-of-hire. Annual re-certification is required
Formal training in management of the aggressive patient within sixty (60) days of date-of-hire. Annual re-certification is required
Nice to have:
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Certification (PMH-BC)
Minimum of two years of experience as an RN with experience in behavioral health
