Job Description

This is a casual position with an end date of June 30,2026. Under general supervision of a licensed practitioner and/or department leader, the Clin-Med Assist I independently provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks as assigned and as per standardized clinical protocols. This position utilizes appropriate age and developmental approaches in application of care, regularly performs a supportive role to physicians, nurses and families in the delivery of patient care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families. Administrative duties will also be performed as assigned.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association
  • Medical Assistant Program/Certificate (new grads welcome)

Nice to have

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 years of experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • 1 year of experience or 160 hours of an externship/internship
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
  • experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
  • Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting
