Reporting directly to the Director of Care (DOC), and indirectly to the Executive Director (ED), the Clinical Manager (CM) of the Community Hospice Palliative Care Program is responsible for leading a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of a standard of excellence in virtual care, promoting independence, dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in the location of their choice. The CM of the Community Program works collaboratively with the CM of the Residential Program to maximize residential bed occupancy, client flow, and suitability.

Requirements:
BScN with a Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario
Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care and CAPCE (Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education)
Certification in Hospice Palliative Care (HPC) with the Canadian Nurses’ Association, or in the process of working to write this exam
Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Bilingualism (English/French), written and verbal
Minimum of three years of recent experience in Hospice Palliative Care
Current CPR certification
Evidence of self-directed learning demonstrated commitment to life-long learning, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, make appropriate decisions, and accept responsibility for outcomes
Adaptable to frequent changes that occur in daily activities of each program
Proven ability to supervise, support, and educate a team of nursing staff (ideally in HPC), with an understanding of small unit culture with a team approach
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Valid driver’s license, use of a reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel within the Greater Sudbury Region
Nice to have:
Minimum of three years of recent experience in Hospice Palliative Care
