We have a fantastic opportunity for you join our fantastic team at Phoenix Park Care Village in Scunthorpe. We are looking for a Clinical Lead to work full time days. We can offer competitive rates of pay, excellent training and development and job satisfaction. This role will be based at Phoenix Park Care Village, in the heart of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. The Care Village has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 146 residents, across three buildings on the site. Typically our residents at Phoenix Park live with a range of age related health conditions, physical disabilities and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, many of our residents are living with Dementia and may also require one to one personal support to maintain their daily independence. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities. As a Clinical Lead you have responsibility for leading a team of nursing staff to ensure delivery of an excellent standard of care which promotes independence, dignity and respect and positively enhances the lives of clients living within Prime Life care homes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry responsibility for the management of the nursing services in liaison with the Care Home Managers
  • Take a leadership role for your team by ensuring staff skills are managed, supervised appropriately and rotas are in place
  • Promote, role model and maintain a high standard of nursing care including the home environment
  • Ensure effective induction of new nursing staff, provide ongoing clinical supervision of trained staff and where applicable mentorship and assessment of student nurses
  • Work within the NMC Code and CQC standards alongside Prime Life internal policies and procedures
  • Plan, direct and deliver high-quality person-centred care through the care planning process, championing independence and person choice
  • Oversee all aspects of medicine management, ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Monitor the quality of nursing care provided through effective auditing and undertaking of corrective action as required
  • Undertake staff reviews through supervision, annual appraisal and team meetings
  • Evaluate performance of the nursing team ensuring that duties are performed effectively, and attitudes and behaviors reflect the values of Prime Life and NMC Code
  • Be up to date on and follow the relevant procedures contained within Prime Life policy files
  • Take an active role in training the team of nurses, working in conjunction with the Prime Life Workforce Development team
  • Maintain accurate and relevant documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned development
  • Deputise for the Care Home Managers and take responsibility for the management of the building in their absence if requested
  • Ensure provision of emergency treatment for all clients when required by the nursing team
  • Be accountable to the Care Home Managers for all duties and responsibilities
