Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetist to enhance their development on a 12-month secondment in Cambridge. This role will provide an opportunity for an ambitious clinician to step into a position that will challenge them and provide opportunities to develop management and clinical skills in a supportive environment. As an integral member of the Clinical Management Team, the successful candidate will manage the Prosthetic Clinical Team and provide support and insight to the technical team and wider NHS multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to advance and improve the delivery of the service. The role will also involve working with a complex clinical case load and therefore clinical expertise in at least one area of prosthetics is essential, but there will also be opportunities to develop into different specialities.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic clinical leadership for the Opcare Centre
  • Line management of the clinical team
  • Oversee daily clinical operations
  • Promote a positive, supportive team culture
  • Ensure adherence to clinical standards and protocols
  • Manage own clinical caseload alongside leadership duties
  • Provide support to the centre manager for urgent day-to-day management tasks
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate, timely manufacture of bespoke devices
  • Facilitate and participate in MDT working

Requirements

  • Proven practical experience working successfully as a Prosthetist

  • Certified Prosthetist or HND Prosthetics or BSc Prosthetics
