Clinical Lab Technician II

• Functions as an unlicensed or licensed staff member in a licensed clinical laboratory performing duties approved by California business code 1269, CLIA, and other regulatory agencies
• Duties and responsibilities include patient preparation, specimen preparation, client service activities, preparation and management of reagents and supplies, and performing procedures and QC functions approved by regulatory agencies
• Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental issues of the patient population(s) being served
• May be asked to take direction from a Lead or Senior level position

• 1+ years experience in a large laboratory or academic institution required
• clinical or research lab experience highly preferred
• Experience in medical terminology sufficient to understand and discuss technical aspects of pathology and laboratory medicine
• Strong customer service, communication and critical thinking skills highly preferred
• Experience with high volume data entry preferred
• High school graduate or equivalent
• AA degree preferred
