Job Description

As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be instrumental in unraveling medical mysteries, providing crucial diagnostic insights that directly impact patient treatment and recovery. Every day, you will perform complex technical analyses across various laboratory disciplines, meticulously verifying results for accuracy and quality assurance. You will operate and maintain sophisticated instrumentation and collaborate closely with laboratory leadership to uphold the highest standards of practice and patient care. Job Responsibility

  • Performs complex technical analyses across various laboratory disciplines, meticulously verifying results for accuracy and quality assurance
  • Operates and maintains sophisticated instrumentation
  • Collaborates closely with laboratory leadership
  • Demonstrates competency in age-specific patient testing for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Properly identifies patient, sample, and/or result and maintains sample integrity throughout the analytical and reporting process
  • Performs technical procedures accurately, correlating technical data and evaluating results for reasonableness, and maintaining required documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelors other in Biological Science, or US military equivalent
  • California Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Internship in a hospital clinical laboratory

  • Maintain familiarity and compliance with general laboratory safety practices, MSDS guidelines, State of California regulations and requirements, OSHA standards, CDC recommendation and universal precautions
  • Participate in the clinical laboratory scientist teaching program to assist in the training of Clinical Laboratory Scientist students, MLT students, or other established programs
