We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to work within the Clinical Governance Department in the capacity of Clinical Governance and Education.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the design and implementation of clinical education programs and innovative practice initiatives that support high-quality, evidence-based care aligned with Montefiore’s strategic vision
  • Champion continuous learning enhances clinical excellence, and fosters system-wide improvement while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practice models
  • Lead, support and educate staff on clinical topics, promote, and participate in a culture of learning and development and promote a wellness model with stakeholders
  • Support teams to address clinical risks by improving clinical systems & processes through provision of education and training as well as oversee safe medication management
  • Support regulatory compliance and sound clinical governance
  • Work collaboratively with the L&D department to implement the clinical education strategic plan

Requirements:

  • Hold current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willing to obtain) or Diploma of Training Design and Development or Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education
  • Have a minimum of 5 years post graduate clinical experience within aged care and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trainer/educator
  • Ability to prepare, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs across three Sydney based locations
  • Ability to research literature and source relevant legislation, standards, best practice and guidelines
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Aged Care Act 2024 The Strengthened Aged Standard’s and Governing for Reform Agenda The aged care Registration process
  • Solid experience using Microsoft suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, ability to collect and analyse data
  • Demonstrate advanced practice expertise with the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Have highly developed written and oral communication skills and be able to relay information articulately to various stakeholders
  • Experience with Learning management systems
  • Current driver’s license and own vehicle and willingness to travel across sites as per operational requirements
