Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine & MDT Education/Simulation

• 50% Emergency Medicine clinical care
• Take a history and examine a patient
• Identify and synthesize problems
• Prescribe safely
• Keep an accurate and relevant medical record (electronic notes)
• Manage time and clinical priorities effectively
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues
• Use evidence, guidelines and audit to benefit patient care
• 50% of the time will be spent in the department teaching and delivering simulation
• peruse within in-situ MDT simulation, tea-trolley teaching, social media, asynchronous learning, Virtual/Classroom teaching and shop floor teaching of the ED multidisciplinary team

• Fully registered with the GMC with licence to practice
• ALS provider status
• MRCEM or equivalent
• Some experience within a specialty relevant to the role
• Expertise in full range of medical conditions
• EM experience
• 6 months EM experience
• Ability to help lead and supervise a multi-professional team and take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
• Ability to manage priorities
• Leadership skills
• Experience of audit/QI and management
• Intermediate level IT skills
• Ability to teach clinical skills to trainees/undergraduates and multi-disciplinary teams
• Interest in leading multi-professional education

• ATLS/ETC provider status
• APLS/EPALS provider status
• Some experience at Middle Grade level in EM
• Advanced level IT skills
• Publications in peer reviewed journals
• Simulation Experience
• Teaching course
• Ability to supervise post-graduate research

Funding will be provided to successful candidates to complete a postgraduate certificate in medical education at the university of Bristol
