The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga is seeking board-certified or board-eligible emergency physicians for full-time clinical faculty positions on the Clinical track. This is an opportunity to practice high-acuity emergency medicine at the region’s only Level I Trauma Center while contributing to the education of the next generation of emergency physicians.
Job Responsibility:
Provide direct patient care in the emergency department at Erlanger Baroness Hospital and satellite emergency departments
Supervise and teach emergency medicine residents and medical students during clinical shifts
Maintain board certification and meet continuing medical education requirements
Requirements:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program
Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
Minimum of two (2) years of post-residency clinical experience, OR one (1) year of clinical experience plus completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship
Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Tennessee
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have:
Fellowship training in a relevant subspecialty (e.g., ultrasound, EMS, toxicology, simulation, critical care)
Demonstrated commitment to medical education and resident teaching
Record of scholarly activity including presentations, publications, or curriculum development
