Job Description

Baptist Health is currently seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a PRN opportunity with flexible day shift hours, ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from cardiac-related illnesses while enjoying schedule flexibility. As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, your day centers on assessing patients’ fitness levels, developing tailored exercise prescriptions, and monitoring their responses during supervised sessions. You’ll collaborate with physicians and care teams, interpret diagnostic data, and guide patients toward safer movement, improved endurance, and long-term cardiovascular health.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide treatment to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab patients across Phases I–III
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to guide individualized treatment plans
  • Design and implement exercise prescriptions and facilitate progression based on patient needs
  • Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including EKG monitoring and interpretation
  • Educate patients and families on risk factor management, heart-healthy lifestyles, and long-term wellness
  • Complete all required documentation, billing, and coordinate communication with physicians

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 Years Pulmonary Rehabilitation Experience
  • 3-5 Years Clinical Cardiac Experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) - ACSM Required Or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - ACSM Required Or Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional (CCRP) Required
