Clinical Educator - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

• Accountable for planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing and evaluating education activities
• Accountable along with area leadership teams for promoting a continuous learning environment that supports ongoing staff development for assigned clinical areas
• Practices within the scope of the Nursing Practice act, and in accordance with Children's Hospital policies

• Minimum 3 years full time or equivalent related experience
• Ability to demonstrate the skills necessary to plan, implement and evaluate education programs using appropriate education principles
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position for Periop, PICU and Emergency departments only
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (RNP) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position for NICU department only
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 18 months of hire or transfer into position for Emergency department only
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position for Emergency department only
• Pediatric Emergency Assess, Resuscitation & Stabilization (PEARS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
