Job Description

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is currently hiring for a Full-time Clinical Documentation Integrity Manager to join our Finance Revenue Cycle Department at Baptist Metro Square! This candidate will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating clinical documentation integrity (CDI) practices to ensure consistency, meet corporate compliance guidelines, and to ensure appropriate and effective reimbursement in cooperation with the following key areas: Utilization Management, Clinical Denials, Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, Admitting/Registration, Information Services, and hospital-based contracted physicians

Job Responsibility

  • Develops policies and procedures to support CDI workflow and guidelines
  • Recruits, hires and develops clinical documentation specialists to establish, maintain and keep current and effective training program for coding and clinical documentation
  • Meets budget requirements and participates in budget preparation
  • Provides education to physician, physician offices as needed to support hospital operations ensuring accurate and complete medical record
  • Works with Medical Staff as needed
  • Educates clinical documentation specialists on issues related to the government mandated Inpatient Perspective Payment Program (MS-DRGs) and works collaboratively with the coding Supervisors

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (non Nursing) Required
  • 3-5 Years Clinical Documentation Improvement Experience
  • 3-5 Years Clinical Experience
  • 3-5 Years Leadership Experience
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) - ACDIS Preferred
  • Certified Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) - AHIMA Preferred
