Job Description:

As a Divisional Clinical Development Nurse (RGN) at Barchester, you’ll lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for patients in our six Mental Health Hospitals across England.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for patients in six Mental Health Hospitals across England
  • Support the performance of each hospital ensuring it performs to the highest clinical standards
  • Review the clinical governance database and KPIs of each home every month
  • Analyse results and identify practical strategies to ensure all regulations are met and care is continually improved
  • Work closely with the Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff in each service
  • Support the continual improvement of standards and help implement key actions to address any issues
  • Organise new training
  • Help attract key senior clinical staff
  • Deliver clinical investigations

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Strong understanding of current regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in a Mental Health Hospital environment
  • Confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses
  • Leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical mind
  • Ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver on action plans
  • Willingness for regular travel
