Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded elderly nursing home in the South East London area, who are seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join their leadership team. This well-established home provides nursing, dementia and residential care and has a strong reputation for high-quality, person-centred care. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead looking to step into a supportive, supernumerary leadership role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day clinical and operational running of the home
  • Lead, mentor and develop the nursing and care teams
  • Ensure the home consistently delivers safe, effective and high-quality care
  • Oversee clinical governance, audits, care planning and compliance
  • Work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Act as a positive role model with a hands-on, supportive leadership style

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or equivalent Clinical Lead role, ideally within private hospitals or nursing home settings
  • Strong clinical background in elderly care and dementia nursing, with proven ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for elderly care and commitment to clinical excellence
  • Confident leadership skills, with excellent communication, organisational, and team management capabilities
  • An empathetic and kind leader with strong emotional intelligence, able to support staff, foster a positive culture, and build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
