Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established elderly nursing home provider who are seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join the leadership team within a fully occupied nursing home providing high-quality elderly care. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Clinical Deputy Manager or experienced Clinical Lead looking to take the next step into a predominantly supernumerary leadership position within a supportive and established clinical environment. The home has a strong clinical infrastructure, a fully recruited nursing and care team and is seeking an individual who can support continued delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day operational and clinical running of the service
  • Lead, mentor and develop nursing and care teams
  • Support clinical governance, safeguarding processes and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee care planning, audits and quality standards
  • Work closely alongside wider management and multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist with admissions and clinical assessments
  • Ensure the home consistently delivers safe and effective care
  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership while maintaining high clinical standards
  • Operate within a predominantly supernumerary capacity, covering shifts where operationally required

Requirements

  • RGN qualification with an active NMC pin
  • Previous nursing home experience
  • Strong elderly care experience
  • Clinical leadership experience within a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or equivalent position
  • Experience with safeguarding referrals, CQC processes and clinical governance
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and maintaining high clinical standards
  • Ability to thrive within a busy nursing home environment
