This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to step into a leadership role, supporting the Home Manager in delivering outstanding clinical care within a service that provides nursing, residential, dementia, and specialist care. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that care standards go beyond compliance, focusing on delivering truly person-centred care while supporting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing clinical team.
Job Responsibility
Provide clinical leadership across the service
Oversee care planning, ensuring person-centred and outcome-focused delivery
Lead on clinical governance, audits, and compliance processes
Ensure medication management is safe and effective
Monitor resident wellbeing and respond proactively to clinical changes
Support and mentor nursing and care staff
Drive best practice in safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and infection control
Ensure the home remains compliant and inspection-ready
Work collaboratively with families and external professionals
Support the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the home
Take responsibility for the service in the absence of the Home Manager
Provide expert clinical guidance and nursing leadership to the team
Ensure all care delivered exceeds regulatory and professional standards
Promote a culture of kindness, empathy, and resident-focused care
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
Must not require sponsorship (full right to work in the UK)
Minimum 2 years' experience within an elderly nursing home setting
Proven experience in a leadership role such as Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Unit Manager
Strong understanding of CQC standards, clinical governance, and compliance
Experience leading teams, audits, and care planning processes
Confident in supporting and developing clinical staff
