Job Description:

Baptist health is hiring a Clinical Data Abstraction Specialist to join the Quality Management team. This is a full-time opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Abstracts & analyzes specific demographic and clinical information from the patient medical record to assess performance in defined quality measures, disease states, or other quality outcomes measures
  • Includes tracking of identified patient populations and data entry into defined data bases and timely submission based on established internal and external deadlines
  • Provides interventions through working key stakeholders increase compliance with best practices
  • Provides progress updates to key stakeholders on results when available
  • Provides education to the healthcare team on quality indicators/measures
  • Position will focus on the chart abstraction for CMS and TJC quality metrics

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • 3-5 Years Clinical Nursing Experience Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
