Job Description:

Clinical Assistant is a vital, hands-on member of the care team who works directly with patients and providers in clinics, hospitals, and specialty practices. This is the fastest, most respected way to gain paid, patient-facing clinical experience before medical, nursing, or PA school.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with doctors to room patients
  • Assist with procedure setup
  • Perform point-of care testing, take vitals, phlebotomy services
  • Manage patient flow, and support everything from check-in to discharge
  • Monitor pending labs and radiology orders for results to help guide patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent
  • Provide referral Orders
  • Facilitate transition of care to urgent care or hospital
  • Provide other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. (16 years of age or older in TX)
  • Proof of vaccinations (may be required)
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule availability
  • Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
  • Access to a laptop (you’ll be provided one after training but need your own for training)
