Position Summary/ Department Summary: We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to join the team within our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in our Needham location.
Job Responsibility:
Following established procedures and instructions, providing basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse
Assisting patients with feeding and hygiene, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit as needed
Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed
Assisting with stocking and sanitizing with the post anesthesia care unit and setting up bed spaces for patients
Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse
Answering, screening, and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks
Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures
Collecting, verifying, and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions
Working across perioperative services within Needham
Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent
1-year of Clinical Assistant experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation preferred
Experience working on a team is preferred
CNA certification or equivalent preferred
Nice to have:
1-year of Clinical Assistant experience or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation preferred
Experience working on a team is preferred
