The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University invites applications for a clinical, term appointment as assistant or associate professor in Equine Surgery. Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and have completed a residency approved by the American College of Veterinary Surgery. Candidates eligible for board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons will be provided study time for examination preparation when appropriate. The successful candidate should be committed to academia and dedicated to contributing to a high-quality teaching program. The successful candidate must provide didactic and clinical instruction in equine surgery for veterinary students, interns, and residents, and must maintain a high-quality equine clinical service with a demonstrated commitment to building caseload and providing exceptional service and client communication. The balance of clinical and teaching components in the appointment are negotiable depending on the professional goals of the candidate and the needs of the DCS/VHC. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications. The start date is negotiable based on passing of a background check and submission of official transcripts.
