We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Application Support Specialist to serve as the vital link between clinical operations and technology. In this role, you will support, implement, and optimize clinical software systems to ensure that healthcare professionals have the tools they need to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care. This is a contract position based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offering the opportunity to collaborate with clinicians, IT teams, and vendors in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to clinical software systems and workflows
Provide training to clinicians and staff on effective use of clinical applications
Analyze current workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
Support provider documentation, dictation, and transcription processes to ensure seamless operations
Conduct audits to verify data accuracy and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Maintain up-to-date documentation and create training materials for clinical systems
Collaborate with IT teams and software vendors to address issues, implement upgrades, and enhance system features
Communicate system updates, planned downtimes, and resolutions to staff and leadership
Offer onsite support through regular travel to healthcare facilities
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide timely assistance as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
Proven experience with IT troubleshooting or project management is highly preferred
Strong understanding of clinical applications and workflows, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, and Windows Server environments
Skilled in managing user accounts and permissions within clinical systems
Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality
Strong time-management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel as required
