Seeking a Licensed RN to join Elsevier as a Clinical Analytics Specialist, focusing on enhancing clinical decision support through data integration and analysis. Provide support for clinical decision support (CDS) product development to improve the search and discovery experience for users of products such as ClinicalKey at the point-of-care. Work with the Clinical Solutions and Education business units to provide clinical analytics support and drive growth, revenue generation, and innovation.
Job Responsibility:
Apply clinical knowledge to extract and integrate data in a healthcare environment
Adapt domain ontologies for information extraction, data modeling and analysis
Provide insight for ensuring high quality of automated indexing for search & discovery
Apply own domain knowledge and work with external clinical experts to confirm and validate clinical accuracy of content
Ensure that content is clinically accurate, current, and supported by the best available evidence from the medical literature, current guidelines, and accepted performance standards
Build domain specific training data sets for machine learning (ML) models used in Point-of-care products
Utilize predictive analytics and insights from combining big datasets in healthcare
Requirements:
Be a licensed, board-certified RN, masters-trained or similarly qualified nurse instructor with significant teaching experience
Have experience with teaching as well as a passion for experimenting with emerging learning modalities in the field of nursing education
Have subject matter expertise in multiple nursing education domains
Demonstrate understanding of issues impacting the U.S. healthcare system, health information technology/informatics, interprofessional education/collaboration, and a working knowledge of national, and where applicable international, taxonomies, standards and guidelines affecting the delivery of healthcare education
Demonstrate deep understanding of Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in nursing education and changes made to the NCLEX® exam test plan
Have prior experience writing, implementing, and/or facilitating Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) for undergraduate, PN-to-RN or RN-to-BSN nursing students in a dedicated clinical simulation education setting
Familiarity with the growing influence of GAI models/tools both for content generation and student/faculty support purposes
Possess excellent team-building skills for SME recruitment/retention and ability to motivate team to continuously improve performance
Be able to successfully partner with a large network of content vendors and contract SMEs to support delivery/execution of Sherpath courses and other digital learning content
High computer skill competency. Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment
and strong MS Word/Powerpoint skills and ability to work with templates using an electronic content management system
Nice to have:
Advanced education credentials/PhD preferred
Experience with medical vocabularies such as SNOMED CT and ICD-10 is beneficial, as is knowledge of ontology modeling
