Clinic Receptionist

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and outstanding customer service skills
• Performs patient check-in at the time of the visit, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance
• Copies/scan patient medical records, benefits/insurance information, and related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record system
• Collects patient responsibility payments and answers routine patient insurance and billing inquiries
• Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, ensures insurance coverage, and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment schedules

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Experience with Meditech, Allscripts, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Preferred)
