Job Responsibility

Provide a comprehensive ophthalmology service across regional clinic locations
Deliver specialist paediatric ophthalmology services alongside general ophthalmology care
Provide medical and surgical management of ophthalmic patients, including outpatient and theatre work
Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract surgery
Maintain responsibility for patients under their care and ensure the safe functioning of the department
Participate in ophthalmology clinics, monitoring clinics, and theatre sessions
Provide care for both new and follow-up patients in outpatient clinics
Participate in the ophthalmology on-call rota supporting emergency ophthalmic services
Contribute to the development and expansion of ophthalmology services
Support the development of innovative service models and improved patient pathways
