Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Clinic Coordinator to support the operations of a neurosurgery office in Los Angeles, California. This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled neurosurgeon and a detail-oriented healthcare team in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative tasks, patient care coordination, and communication while ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and medical procedures efficiently
  • Facilitate communication between patients, the neurosurgeon, and other healthcare providers
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, adhering to clinic standards
  • Verify insurance coverage, handle authorizations, and assist patients with billing inquiries
  • Organize clinic operations, including managing supplies, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating the provider’s calendar
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and provide concierge-level service to patients and visitors
  • Perform administrative duties to support the neurosurgery team, including data entry and file organization
  • Utilize electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office tools to enhance workflow
  • Ensure a welcoming and detail-oriented environment for all patients and visitors
  • Assist with miscellaneous operational tasks as needed to support the clinic’s efficiency

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative or medical office roles, preferably in a specialty clinic
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, focused on patient-centered service
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Skilled in answering multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience in data entry and file management with attention to detail
