We are The Light – we provide a unique immersive experience to surprise and delight our guests across 14 locations in the UK. Cinema, bowling, karaoke, darts, mini golf, climbing walls, bars and restaurants – we have it all! We’re looking for a confident and experienced Climbing Instructor to join our Adventure Climb team. As a Climbing Instructor you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and fun climbing sessions for guests of all ages and abilities. If you’re passionate about climbing and love helping others enjoy the sport in a supportive, high-energy environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading and supervising climbing sessions for individuals and groups
  • Giving safety briefings and instructions clearly and confidently
  • Encouraging guests to challenge themselves in a safe and supportive way
  • Ensuring all equipment is used, maintained, and stored correctly
  • Carrying out checks, rescues, and safety procedures as required
  • Supporting the wider Adventure Climb team and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

  • Experienced in indoor climbing, with a strong understanding of safety practices
  • Comfortable leading groups and giving clear, engaging instructions
  • A confident, friendly communicator with people of all ages
  • Safety-focused, with strong attention to detail
  • A team player who brings positive energy to every shift
  • Flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Instructor qualification or relevant experience preferred

  • The applicant may be exposed to fumes and other irritants including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases, various cleaning solutions, and solvents requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include a respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection and hard toed safety boots.

  • The Maintenance Specialist will become an integral part of CEMAT-ACCCIT in support of the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) onboard JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74).
  • The ideal Maintenance Specialist will have prior shipboard mechanical HM&E repair and testing experience.
  • The Maintenance Specialist will be working as part of a small cross-functional team. When not working in their primary specialty they may be required to assist other members of the team in the performance of their work including by not limited to standing fire watch or safety watch.
