Job Description

This role is part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, supporting the installation and maintenance of fixed and mobile networks. It involves regular climbing of towers and rooftop sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality standards, and performance targets. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift work, including a 24/7 callout rota, and is physically demanding, involving lifting, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors.

Job Responsibility

  • Install, commission, and maintain the Vodafone network, products, and services to agreed standards and service levels, ensuring safe working practices
  • communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
  • identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes to deliver operational excellence
  • follow Vodafone HSE Absolute Rules without exception

Requirements

  • Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience
  • experience in service provision, fault diagnosis, and resolution across a range of telecommunications technologies including multi vendor CPE (Cisco, Juniper, ADVA), core transmission technologies (DWDM, Ethernet), mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), microwave radio, switching and DC power systems, fibre and copper cabling and termination
  • ability to manage workload effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • valid full UK/EU driving license (Category B)
  • ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber/Tower Rescue Certification and pass regular health assessments
  • ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance
