Job Description:

The Client Value Proposition and Segment Senior Strategy Lead plays a critical role in defining and driving Citi's value proposition for the mass and emerging affluent segments. With the recent launch of Simplify Banking and our evolving strategy, this role is now also responsible for amplifying and cascading the value proposition across all channels, ensuring consistent messaging and maximizing its impact on customer acquisition and retention. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for managing and driving key performance indicators (KPIs) for primacy. This highly strategic role involves conducting in-depth market analysis, leveraging customer experience (CX) data, digital performance metrics, competitive intelligence, and other relevant information to develop compelling value propositions

Job Responsibility:

  • Value Proposition Development: Lead the development and refinement of compelling value propositions for the mass and emerging affluent segments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs
  • Value Proposition Communication & Advocacy: Ensure consistent communication of value propositions across brand collateral, emails, Citi.com, and mobile channels by working closely with Marketing, Legal, Product and other relevant partners. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and approving all value prop collateral, acting as a key decision-maker in the review process
  • Market Analysis & Research: Partner with CX to conduct thorough market research, analyze customer data (CX, digital performance, etc.), and monitor competitor activities to identify opportunities and inform value proposition strategies
  • Business Case Development: Develop robust business cases to support new value proposition initiatives, outlining potential benefits, costs, and implementation plans
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior leaders across branch, digital, call center, and other lines of business to ensure alignment and effective execution of value proposition strategies
  • Communication & Training: Develop and deliver clear and concise communication materials to effectively cascade value proposition information to relevant stakeholders across the organization
  • Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of value proposition strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Competitive Differentiation: Continuously analyze the competitive landscape to identify opportunities to differentiate Citi's value proposition and position the company as a leader in the market. Leverage the Simplify Banking value proposition to enhance competitive differentiation
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic marketing, product management, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful value proposition strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and draw actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders across different functions
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly the mass and emerging affluent segments
  • Experience with market research methodologies and data analysis techniques
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
