Job Description

This position is for a Client Solutions Architect supporting the ALTESS commercial cloud customers who reside in Microsoft Azure (Gov/DoD). ALTESS is a managed service provider (MSP) for Army IT systems and we support enterprise applications owners hosted in private and public cloud environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Participate and lead technical requirements gathering sessions with customers interested in migrating their IT system to ALTESS
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements
  • Based on customer’s technical requirements, develop an architecture for the customer’s IT system
  • Create all the required architecture documentation and diagrams and create a Technical Data Package for the customer’s IT system
  • Assist with identifying and planning potential new managed services, features and capabilities
  • Serve as overall subject matter expert on Windows technology and market capabilities/trends
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application and networking issues in a complex and highly secured environment
  • Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability and performance across a wide variety of network, storage and computer technologies
  • Contributing to the ALTESS ongoing automation efforts
  • Managing multiple customer application migrations simultaneously

Requirements

  • Masters +10yrs, or Bachelors +12yrs (Software Engineer – Senior)
  • Bachelors +5yrs or Associates +7yrs (Software Engineer – Intermediate)
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, etc.)
  • Experience developing cloud based architecture solutions based on customer requirements
  • Knowledge of private/hybrid/commercial cloud environments
  • Mid to senior level Windows Administrator experience
  • Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
  • Understanding of network, storage, server and application technologies
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, DSC, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • DOD Secret (Fully Adjudicated) clearance

  • Willing to travel as needed to support sales efforts, client onsites, POVs, and AI Labs (typically up to ~25%, with some variability based on segment and deal mix)
  • Prior experience in a sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or comparable client-facing technical role, or a clearly demonstrated track record of operating at that level from an adjacent seat (e.g., advanced CS, litigation support, ediscovery practice lead)
  • Solid command of core ediscovery processes (EDRM, processing, review, productions, analytics) and developing fluency in standard law firm litigation workflows, with a working understanding of corporate legal workflows (legal holds, internal investigations, regulatory response, etc.) as a secondary coverage area
  • Excellent communicator: clear and structured in demos and presentations, able to engage technical buyers and end users productively, and increasingly able to tailor message to a specific audience's pain points and value drivers
  • Organized and process-oriented, comfortable managing multiple concurrent opportunities, POVs, and RFx workstreams without dropping details or losing momentum on long-cycle deals
  • Takes ownership of work, escalates appropriately when needed, and looks for ways to improve how the team operates (templates, talk tracks, processes) rather than only executing assigned tasks

  • Prepare and deliver polished platform demos tailored to specific use cases and audiences, including AI feature demos and technical deep-dives for diverse audiences ranging from technical power users to executive stakeholders
  • Plan and execute standard commercial POVs
  • Define success criteria with input from the AE and SA leadership, manage day-to-day evaluation logistics, lead user trainings, troubleshoot issues, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned to a clear plan and timeline
  • Contribute to RFP, RFI, and security questionnaire responses in partnership with our Proposals Specialist and Security & Trust teams
  • Build and maintain working knowledge of Everlaw's roadmap, and contribute structured field feedback from prospect and customer interactions to help inform future product direction
