As a Client Relationship Manager at Desjardins, you aren’t just managing accounts; you are a dedicated partner ensuring thousands of Canadians across Western Canada can look forward to a secure future.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a dedicated portfolio of 8–15 major block clients, ensuring their retirement plans remain competitive, compliant, and "best-in-market"
Act as the "Voice of the Client" internally, translating feedback into service improvements and resolving complex escalations
Own the administrative lifecycle: fee negotiations, contract renewals, and plan documentation
Analyze client needs to design tailored GRS solutions that align with long-term organizational goals
Lead high-level presentations and "short-list" meetings, acting as the technical expert to showcase the firm’s unique value proposition
Partner with Group Benefits and Insurance colleagues to provide holistic support
Pivot seamlessly between communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Significant experience in the Canadian Group Retirement Savings (GRS) market
Deep technical knowledge of retirement products and the ability to navigate local hiring market nuances in Alberta and British Columbia
A polished, professional presence with the ability to lead complex negotiations and presentations in English
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modern CRM tools
Proactive Mindset: You don't wait for a problem to arise
you anticipate needs through regular client visits and proactive solution-finding
Nice to have:
