Client Manager Job Overview

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing their accounting, VAT, and corporation tax needs
  • Provide expert financial advice and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Support clients with cloud-based accounting systems and digital transformation
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions
  • Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies as required
  • Identify opportunities for business development and enhanced client services
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high standards of work

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in managing client portfolios within an accountancy practice
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
  • Solid understanding of VAT and corporation tax regulations
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client support
