Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence. Citi Corporate Bank serves as the conduit of Citi’s full product suite to clients through holistically managed relationships across our unparalleled network. The Client Manager is an intermediate-level position responsible as Coverage to clients offering banking solutions including Treasury and Trade Solutions, Markets and Loans. Client Managers will be Coverage for their own clients and will be supporting Subsidiary Account Manager Portfolio. The Client Manager is a critical role responsible for fostering strong client relationships, ensuring efficient product and service delivery, maintaining operational excellence, and upholding regulatory compliance. This position acts as a central point of contact for clients, coordinating various internal functions to meet client needs and contribute to the firm's strategic objectives.
Job Responsibility
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal partners
Oversee and enhance the overall client experience, including VoC management
Monitor business activity to identify new origination opportunities and drive revenue
Manage client credit requests aligned with policies and capital considerations
Liaise with PAMs for credit appetite and facilitate local approvals
Support IRAU and other units during Credit Annual Reviews and risk management
Own and track product delivery and client experience across all offerings
Coordinate the entire client onboarding journey, ensuring mandatory requirements are met
Manage specific product requirements and oversee documentation/contract negotiation
Manage and accelerate client issue resolutions and senior escalations
Facilitate critical operational flows and manage client complaints
Manage regulatory reporting of credit exposures and impact of new regulations
Act as the dedicated KYC owner for all new and renewal clients
Complete detailed client summaries and facilitate the KYC process across support units
Possess deep understanding of country-specific policies to coordinate with AML teams
Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives focused on automation and efficiency
Collaborate with Service partners to support and enhance client service experience initiatives
Provide essential client information for business management initiatives and planning
Requirements
5-8 years of experience with priority given to candidates with Coverage experience
Cantonese and Mandarin speaker preferred
Proven and progressive related lending/credit experience or equivalent product experience
Demonstrated credit skills, including a background in credit
Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval process
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
