Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a full-time (35 hours/week) Intake Specialist to support the firm's client intake in our Tallahassee office. Job Responsibility:
First point of contact for individuals seeking help
Connect people with the legal support they need
Engage directly with potential clients to collect initial information about their legal problems, income, and personal circumstances
Active listening and clear documentation
Lay the groundwork for attorneys to assess and respond to each client’s situation
Requirements:
Skilled typist
Strong grammar and writing skills
High attention to detail
Ability to listen carefully and ask clear, thoughtful follow-up questions
Comfortable working with individuals in high-stress or emotional situations
Able to collaborate effectively with others in both local and remote team settings
High-level of comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite and use of technology
Must complete a Legal Services of North Florida online employment application and submit a resume
Nice to have:
Fluent in a second language
Experience working with victims or individuals who are experiencing trauma
