Job Description

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an ambitious finance professional ready to take the next step beyond senior-level analysis. As our new financial lead, you will be the cornerstone of the client finance function, taking ownership of a dedicated team and the full financial lifecycle for key accounts. You will be the crucial bridge between operational excellence and strategic decision-making, reporting to a Client Finance Manager and on a clear path to becoming a future strategic finance leader within JLL.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor, and accelerate the development of a local finance team (direct or matrix reports)
  • Provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the JLL team working on the account
  • Architect and empower your team structure to maintain & exceed client expectations
  • Act as the crucial link between your operational finance team and senior strategic finance leaders, translating data into commercial insights
  • Deputise for the Client Finance Manager and be a key player in the regional account team (e.g. raising financial awareness of the Operations team)
  • Build and own senior relationships with client-side finance teams, becoming their trusted advisor
  • Be proactive in developing and managing client/business unit relationships, ensuring that expected service levels are achieved across the region
  • Encourage an environment that supports teamwork, financial transparency, co-operation & performance excellence
  • Manage and coach the team to ensure high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals, and performance reviews
  • Develop individual performance plans and succession plans for all roles in the regional finance team
  • Become a trusted advisor on the Client’s financial structure and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Own the delivery of the Client’s financial reporting suite, ensuring it provides timely and actionable insights
  • Ability to quickly analyse process and performance trends and issues

  • Support and coordinate the activities of the finance team across client countries in: Information, Report production, and Financial Strategy & Administration
  • Ensure data integrity of the balance sheet
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash flow completion
  • Manage and optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place, including Cash Reconciliations, all Balance Sheet reconciliations & compliance with SOX reporting
  • Support in the production of annual budgets and reporting on the profitability of the client account
  • Ensure data integrity of the systems across the region and audit data from time to time
  • Ensure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions
  • Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit-worthy and in keeping with recognized quality management processes
  • Ensure all finance staff are well trained on the financial systems & are effectively able to extract data
  • Ensure the management of timely payment of all operating invoices, including payment of rental to landlords, in accordance with legal obligations
  • Support the client in the set up & management of inter-departmental cross-charging
  • Develop and maintain all necessary guidelines and manuals associated with the accounts payable/receivable process
  • Ensure the timely processing of JLL invoices, including monitoring accounts receivable

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a senior finance/accounting role (e.g., Senior Finance Analyst, Senior Accountant) with a proven readiness to take the next step into a leadership position
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent and Qualified Member of Professional Accounting Association (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Demonstrated leadership potential is key. Direct team management experience is a strong advantage, but experience mentoring junior colleagues, leading projects, or acting as a team lead will be highly valued
  • Strong leadership skills, working with a dynamic team directly and by influencing indirect stakeholders
  • Motivated, positive, and flexible in approach to work and able to develop others in such an approach
  • Proactive in identifying issues and potential solutions
  • Self-supporting
