Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a full-time Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Manager to join our team. This role will be hybrid out of our Grand Rapids office and responsible for providing expert financial advice and solutions to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of financial matters, from journal entries and account reconciliations to trend analysis and performance metrics. The role offers a chance to work with a dynamic team of professionals, and to contribute to the success of our clients and our firm. Job Responsibility:

  • Execute monthly close procedures and deliverables to clients based on the accrual basis of accounting
  • Prepare various financial statements, including consolidated income statements, balance sheets and statement of cash flows
  • Calculate, interpret, and communicate KPIs from clients’ financial statements, identifying positive and constructive trends
  • Plan and manage basic engagements, including on-boarding and client delivery phases
  • Lead and manage other team members, including mentoring in professional development, guiding and teaching through technical challenges, and maintaining our firm’s core values
  • Seek to identify new advisory opportunities and propose additional services to existing clients
  • Support drafting proposals and other documents explaining proposed solutions for clients
  • Create, analyze, and present financial results directly to the client. You will work with clients to understand their financial position and strategically plan based on regularly scheduled meetings
  • Apply our processes, system, technology, and resources to manage workflow and ensure proper documentation of workpapers
  • Support special project requests from clients, including but not limited to cost studies, breakeven analysis, budget preparation, cash flow projections and other services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Actively licensed CPA or EA
  • 3+ years’ experience in a public accounting environment
  • 5+ years’ experience of industry experience
  • Familiarity with Ultra Tax, SurePrep, Accounting CS, QuickBooks (online or desktop) is preferred, but not required
