Our client, a dynamic player in the financial services industry, is on the lookout for a Client Account Assistant to join their team for a 9-month maternity cover. If you have a passion for client account management and thrive in a regulated environment, this opportunity is tailored for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Payment Processing: Ensure smooth transactions from client bank accounts while adhering to regulatory standards
  • Account Monitoring: Keep a close eye on account balances to guarantee sufficient funds are available for client needs
  • Reconciliation Duties: Perform bank reconciliations, updating transaction histories and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Account Management: Open and close client accounts in compliance with regulations and prepare necessary documentation
  • Fee Note Preparation: Raise quarterly fee notes and handle client account documentation with precision
  • Query Resolution: Address internal and external account-related queries and escalate complex issues when needed
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal audits and regular reviews of client accounts
  • Team Support: Provide holiday cover for other finance team members, ensuring seamless operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing client money accounts is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and reconciliations
  • Experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger is valuable
  • Experience with Basecone, Twinfield, and CCH is desirable
  • Familiarity with ICAEW's Client Account Regulations is preferred
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written skills to engage confidently with clients and internal teams
  • Previous experience in compliance-related work (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of AML and compliance regulations (Desirable)
