Job Description:

As a Clerk & Storekeeper-Housekeeping at Aloft Shanghai Hongqiao, you'll support the daily activities of the housekeeping team by coordinating room cleaning, resolving room discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The role also involves collaborating with various departments and providing exceptional service to hotel guests.

Job Responsibility:

Run sold room reports
verify room status
determine discrepant rooms
prioritize room cleaning
update status of departing guest rooms
coordinate efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry
resolve issues with discrepant rooms
prepare and distribute room assignments
record, monitor, and update list of ‘Do Not Disturb’ rooms
ensure timely cleaning of vacant dirty rooms
complete required Housekeeping paperwork
maintain a clean and professional appearance
support team goals
communicate clearly and professionally
document and resolve issues with accuracy.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
proficiency in using clear and professional language for communication
strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
adherence to company safety and security policies and procedures.

Nice to have:

No supervisory experience required
hospitality experience preferred.
