A renowned, longstanding multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to join their team, working across a portfolio of new build residential projects in Milton Keynes, Birmingham, and London. Responsibilities include monitoring construction quality, compliance, and progress, preparing detailed reports, identifying defects, and ensuring standards are met.
Job Responsibility:
Undertaking regular site visits to monitor progress and workmanship on residential new builds
preparing clear, detailed, and timely inspection reports with photographic evidence
verifying compliance against contractual drawings, employers’ requirements, Building Regulations, and warranty provider standards
identifying and reporting defects, discrepancies, and non-conformances
managing snagging, de-snagging, and end-of-defect inspections with clients and contractors
maintaining accurate records and ensuring reports align with company QA processes.
Requirements:
Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI)
proven experience inspecting new build residential projects
excellent understanding of building regulations, construction standards, and defect management
strong written communication skills and report-writing ability
full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel between sites.
