Job Description:

Performs all Lockbox Clerk functions under the direction of the Supervisor. Must have knowledge of all department systems equipment. Banking and accounting experience is a MUST.

Job Responsibility:

Must have thorough knowledge of all department equipment including Trans. Remittance Processors, OPS (mail opening processor), Image Scanner Processor and all PC equipment
Monitor all work performance of Lockbox for accuracy and productivity in compliance to that of the contract
Process work being transmitted accurately through batch control
Make sure all payments received are secured in the Lockbox area
Assist in the training of new staff members
Work under the direction of the Supervisor and Lead

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience
Experience in a financial payment processing environment
Ability to motivate people
Good spoken and written communication skills
Good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
Ability to plan and prioritize your own work and other people's
Understanding of computer systems and workflow of department
Decision-making ability
Accuracy with record keeping
Candidate must be available to work between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volumes
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
