The Clerk/Deputy Treasurer is an appointed, non-represented, exempt position responsible for the statutory duties of Village Clerk as defined in Sec. 61.25 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The Village Clerk/Deputy Treasurer reports directly to the Village Administrator.
Job Responsibility:
Administers all elections
Serves as custodian of official Village records
Ensures compliance with Wisconsin election law, open meetings law, public records law, and local ordinances
Supports the Village Board
Supervises election officials
Issues licenses and permits
Assists with administrative and financial operations
Requirements:
High School diploma required
Associate degree in accounting, business, finance or related field strongly preferred
Certified Clerk - WMCA
Experience administering an election in the State of Wisconsin, including necessary WEC certifications
Knowledge of municipal accounting software (e.g., Caselle)
