Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Cleaning Team Leader Support to join our cleaning and hygiene team within a busy manufacturing environment. This role will involve maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic workspace across production areas, staff facilities, and communal spaces.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead a team of 4 cleaning operatives and make sure that all areas are maintained to a high standard
  • Deliver daily team briefings, allocate tasks, and provide on-the-job training where necessary
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to high standards and in line with site protocols
  • Carry out scheduled deep cleans in production areas and high-risk zones
  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
  • Liaise with the facilities and production teams to prioritise cleaning requirements
  • Report equipment faults and manage cleaning stock levels
  • Train new staff and support ongoing development of the cleaning team
  • To Be responsible of locking the facility in the absence of the team leader

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a team leader/supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience managing a team of 4+
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of hygiene standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
  • Cleaning experience within controlled environment would be an advantage
