Job Description:

Flexible role to offer sickness and holiday cover to ensure service delivery is maintained at all times. To conform to cleaning specification and schedules and carry out cleaning duties as required with a view to continuously develop and improve quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out cleaning tasks as required by contract specification and Supervisor within agreed timescales
  • Be punctual and attend for duty as requested
  • Achieve highest standard of work with positive team spirit
  • Continuously develop and improve quality standards
  • Meet managers, clients, and company expectations
  • Respond to any reasonable request of company or client
  • Ensure products, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and stored
  • Use initiative to resolve problems where appropriate
  • Ensure appearance and conduct comply with company expectations and appropriate clothing/PPE is always worn
  • Communicate any unresolved cleaning issues
  • Take direct interest in health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and others affected by work activities

Requirements:

  • Awareness/knowledge of Health & Safety issues
  • Experience within the role
  • Tact and diplomacy when dealing with client personnel and visitors
  • Ability to check quality of own work and supervise less experienced staff when required
  • Responsibility for care of tools and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate orally/written with site manager and client staff
  • Ability to liaise with contractors, visitors, inspectors, and governing bodies
  • Judgement and decision-making based on experience and initiative
  • Original thought and problem-solving for technical issues
  • High level of concentration, especially around machinery and animal enclosures
  • Flexibility to cover a wide range of activities and respond to interruptions
  • Ability to work in varied conditions including outdoors, with animals, adverse weather, dirt, noise, and pollution
