The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) network stretches across the UK. We work alongside our partners to help protect the public and our national security by preventing, deterring and investigating terrorist activity. Our Business Services Department supports the operational delivery of CT policing across the wider West Midlands region through our People, Facilities and Finance teams. As a Cleaner/Porter on our Facilities Team, you will carry out cleaning duties to maintain hygiene and good housekeeping practices across our estates. You will be based at our modern offices near to Birmingham Airport, but will also deliver services across our estate as necessary. You’ll work part time up to 20 hours a week, flexible through Monday to Friday office hours.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out general cleaning duties across the estate
Cleaning offices, meeting rooms, washrooms, welfare areas, custody facilities and forensic areas
Assist in the movement of furnishings, deliveries, confidential waste
Ensure meeting rooms and conference centre are correctly laid out for use
Requirements:
Possess a full clean UK driving licence
Ability to commute to alternative areas of work within the estate when required
Ability to undertake work that involves physical effort (e.g. bending/lifting)
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks
Good communication and customer service skills
This role requires British Nationality (some dual nationalities may be ineligible) and a Security Check vetting clearance
Nice to have:
Experience of working within a similar role, ideally across multiple sites
Knowledge/Understanding of British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) methods
Basic computer skills
