Job Description

Cleaner position at JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco. Position involves cleaning public/employee areas, maintaining safety standards, providing guest service, and performing physical tasks. Part of Marriott International's luxury portfolio.

Job Responsibility

Clean public and employee restrooms and showers
Clean glass in public and employee areas
Clean floor surfaces using designated chemicals, supplies, equipment
Dust surfaces in assigned area
Empty trash containers, ashtrays, ash urns
Inspect furniture condition for tears, rips, stains and report damages
Clean and maintain lights
Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary
Contact other departments for urgent repairs
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
Identify and report preventative/maintenance issues in public areas/guest rooms
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to follow company and safety policies
Ability to report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
Ability to complete safety training and certifications
Ability to properly store flammable materials
Ability to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to welcome and acknowledge guests
Ability to anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Ability to assist individuals with disabilities
Ability to thank guests with genuine appreciation
Ability to speak using clear and professional language
Ability to support team goals
Ability to ensure adherence to quality standards
Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing ≤55 lbs without assistance and >55 lbs with assistance
Ability to push and pull machinery over sloping/uneven surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop
Ability to visually inspect tools/equipment
Ability to grasp, turn, manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
Ability to move through narrow, confined, elevated spaces
Ability to move up/down a ladder
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, walk for extended periods
