Cleaner

• Taking pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard and undertaking necessary procedures to assist with day-to-day maintenance
• Having responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site
• Having awareness of security policies
• Maintaining supplies of cleaning materials
• Working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management

• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
• Friendly and reliable
• Take pride in keeping your designated area in the Academy in a clean condition - onsite training will be given in powered cleaning equipment if required
• Have a basic knowledge/experience of using products and equipment used in cleaning
• Have practical ability in polishing, dusting, cleaning, washing and sweeping
• Have proven ability to be able to converse positively with all staff
• Have previous experience of working in a team
• Ability to manage time effectively in order to carry out day-to-day operations and assist with the smooth running of the school
• Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people
