Job Description:

St Augustine’s Primary School invites applications from suitably qualified highly motivated, innovative and passionate teacher. The successful applicant will be dedicated to embracing partnerships with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community.

Requirements:

  • a willingness to support the values and ethos of Catholic Education
  • strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • the skills and abilities to provide students with a rich and rewarding education experience
  • a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
  • the ability to use data to inform teaching and learning
  • sound knowledge and understanding of Religious Education within the Primary School
  • competent skills and pedagogy around Google applications
  • the ability to build positive supportive relationships with students and parents
  • initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
  • an understanding and commitment to Child Safety
  • the ability to promote the importance of Education in Faith in our Catholic community
  • accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic school (or willing to undertake)
  • a current VIT registration
  • a commitment to child safety and knowledge of the Child Safety Standards
  • knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and Key Curriculum Knowledge Learning
  • the ability to work in partnership in the areas of planning and the implementation of learning based on students' needs and interests
  • current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake a First Aid Course)
